LOUIS VUITTON DISCOVERS THE BODY DELI.
THE COACHELLA VALLEY’S BEST KEPT SECRET
Collaboration between iconic French fashion house and Palm Desert skin care company highlights 2016 Resort show;
Visiting media and VIP’s receive gifts evocative of a Palm Springs evening under the stars
May, 06 2015 (Palm Desert, CA)-- An unprecedented collaboration between French fashion house Louis Vuitton and the desert's premier luxury handcrafted skin care company.
The Body Deli, has created the VIP gifts for Louis Vuitton’s 2016 Cruise collection show in Palm Springs. This event will be held at the iconic estate of Bob and Delores Hope on May 6, 2015.
Louis Vuitton is hosting 500 of their most important clients, global fashion editors and A-list celebrities who will discover The Body Deli's exclusive products, made with fresh local ingredients, placed in their rooms at the desert’s finest hotels.
The Body Deli creates the world's most innovative, fresh, raw and pure skin care products made in the Coachella Valley. Louis Vuitton's discovery of this unique company has led to the collaboration between the two brands. The fashion house’s desire to show in Palm Springs is inspired by its renowned designer Nicolas Ghesquiere. His muse for the collection is Palm Springs architecture, esthetics and powerful desert landscape.
The Body Deli's Palm Springs Spa collection was a natural fit. This collection embodies the iconic Palm Springs lifestyle. These products are packaged with the chic Palm Springs vibe and made with locally-sourced citrus, dates and botanicals capturing the essence of our desert oasis
Louis Vuitton's discovery of The Body Deli's products was a spontaneous event. The moment of discovery was when corporate representatives from Paris were scouting accommodations and local venues in Palm Springs for their upcoming show. Media Relations Manager Joyce Kiehl of the Greater Palm Springs Conventions & Visitors Bureau made the introduction to The Body Deli's co-founder, David A. Parker.
Mr. Parker met with the Louis Vuitton’s Press and Public Relations Director Edouard Schneider and event executives to review the collections in The Body Deli’s product menu. Louis Vuitton chose their favorite products to gift their special guests. Louis Vuitton then requested special co-branded stationery with their logo that would be a personal touch and complete the presentation in the rooms. The cards reads, “Louis Vuitton welcomes you to discover locally crafted desert luxury by The Body Deli”. The rest is history.
The items selected for this ground breaking West Coast fashion event included the Palm Springs Spa Collection Body Lotion, Scrub and Wash. Also chosen were The Body Deli's Sprouted Mineral Greens Line, made with raw ingredients that include their Living Hair Shampoo, Conditioner, and Nutrient Superfood Body Lotion and Body Wash.
David A. Parker says, "Our company is honored to hand make our very special products for Louis Vuitton’s first West Coast fashion show. We are inspired by our mutual values for quality and providing the best possible experience for our customers. We are thrilled to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that showcases the best of our desert."
The Body Deli’s Palm Springs Spa Collection evokes the casual, chic lifestyle of Palm Springs which is world-famous for its vibrant colors, mid-century architecture, and pool side living. The spa collection’s Las Palmas blend was inspired by- and contains- locally grown Coachella Valley Medjool dates, aromatic grapefruit, fresh citrus, ginger, and a hint of jasmine. The product line includes hand and body wash, hand and body lotion, body and bath oil, exfoliating scrub, and natural perfume.

PALM DESERT, CA – November 12, 2014: The Body Deli, the original pioneer for fresh, raw, organic skin and body care, announces the opening of its new flagship store on El Paseo, a shopper’s paradise for the area’s most affluent residents and visitors. With its storefront facing The Gardens on El Paseo, neighbors include luxury retailers Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Kate Spade, and upscale restaurants such as Mastro’s Steakhouse and trendy Il Corso.
Providers of fresh, raw, organic nutrition for the skin since 2001, The Body Deli co-founders Margaret Skarin Clark and David Anton Parker made the decision to open a new store in the heart of the luxury shopping district based on the increasing popularity of their products with sophisticated clientele who expect the absolute best. Their myriad of nutrient-rich creations for the body, skin, and hair deliver vitamins, enzymes, and minerals at their peak potency, and have cultivated a loyal customer base among celebrities including Robert Downy Jr., Goldie Hawn, and Kate Hudson.
“Our gorgeous new store is modeled around the concept of the wonderful gourmet food markets found across Europe,” stated Parker. “We completely re-imagined a more customer-interactive experience with our products, and spared no expense in order to provide the proper showcase for our complete collection of body, skin and hair care options. We’re thrilled to welcome new and existing customers to our amazing new playground for the senses.”
Serving as a shrine to the incredible collection of lotions, creams, scrubs, oils, washes, soaps, mists, and additional merchandise, the striking new store features black granite and white marble checkered floors and Italian marble counter tops and deli cases, which The Body Deli uses to keep its fresh, handcrafted, preservative-free creations at peak potency. Customers can sample the aromatic products at demonstration station, and coming soon is a therapeutic essential oil bar and an area to formulate custom scrubs from scratch.
“I love engaging customers with free samples and introducing them to new scrubs, soaps and washes at the demo station,” explained Skarin. “We hope our customers are as excited about this new location as we are. The knowledge we’ve obtained about super food skincare combined with our years of experience in the beauty industry has led to this – the store of our dreams!”
Cucumbers have long been loved by the health and beauty crowd for their hydrating, cleansing, and detoxifying properties. Cucumber is a gentle astringent that can cleanse sensitive skin and clean out dirty pores while plumping skin with the moisture it begs for. It’s no surprise that we add cucumber to many of our products at the Body Deli. Here are the cucumber products our clients are raving about:
Filled with potent living nutrients, this elixir clears away residue from cleansing,
tightens pores, and hydrates and nourishes the skin. It’s the perfect finishing touch after you clean your skin.
One of our most popular products! Our Sea Cucumber Gelee floods the skin with moisture, nourishing it with organic aloe vera, cucumber, wheat grass, aloe juice, kelp, and many other potent ingredients. It stimulates cellular turnover and plumps the skin with moisture.
As we say on our website, the skin if the largest organ in your body. It has an amazing ability to absorb the chemicals and botanicals that it comes in contact with. You know the saying, “You are what you eat.” Well, the same can be said for your skin, “You are what you put on your skin!”
Your skin is a reflection of you and one of the primary ways we use to judge age, beauty, healthy, and vitality in others. If you don’t “feed” your skin healthy nutrients, it could age and wrinkle prematurely, dry out, look dull, and make you unhappy when you look into the mirror.
Over the past few decades, skincare has gotten a little…complicated. In the Middle Ages, skincare consisted of taking a bath once a month. Not too long ago, a scrubbing with some soap and water was the extent of most people’s routines. And then we come to the present.
Walk into a health and beauty store, and you’ll be confronted by rows of eye gels, face scrubs, mud masques, something called gelee, day cream, night cream, lunchtime cream…okay we made that last one up.
The truth is, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
